I.T.F. Victoria Island Area Office - About Us
The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) is the first Parastatal established for Manpower Training and Development in Nigeria.
The ITF was established by Act 47 of 8th October, 1971 (formerly Decree) with the specific mandate of "promoting and encouraging the acquisition of skills in Industry and Commerce with a view to generating a pool of indigenous Human Resources sufficient to meet the needs of the economy". The ITF has over the years, successfully trained Nigerian workers in both the public and private sectors of the economy.
The Industrial Training Fund Victoria Island Area Office officially started operations on June 1st, 2009; making a total of 6 Lagos ITF Area Offices and 1 Skills Training Centre. The Victoria Island Area Office has four Departments namely Training, Finance and Accounts, Internal Audit and Administrative Departments, all under the supervision of the Area Manager/ Deputy Director, Folusho Samuel (Mrs).
Within a short period after establishment, the Area Office has a considerable list of achievements in her records - from training programmes to retreats (home and abroad) and interactive forums.
